Pulsar IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)

Permanent hair reduction

IPL uses pulses of light to destroy the follicles of growing hair by the selective heating of hair follicles through the absorption of the light.

The Pulsar System uses pulses of light to destroy the follicles of growing hair by the selective heating of hair follicles through the absorption of the light.

Because Pulsar is a gentle, non invasive treatment, it can be used on all areas of the body for both men and women and could be a good alternative to electrolysis for treating larger areas such as the legs and back.

Pulsar IPL Hair Reduction at Imarni Edinburgh Like all hair removal treatments, Pulsar can only remove visible, growing hair. Because of the different rates of hair development and growth a number of Pulsar treatments will be required to obtain the desired effect, with occasional mini treatments required at later dates to maintain the full effect.

This treatment is particularly suitable for treating black and dark hair on fair skin.

*The area to be treated is first trimmed/shaved fairly close to the skin.

*A clear, light sensitive gel, which helps to focus the light and keep the skin cool, is then applied to the treatment area.

*The Pulsar applicator is then applied directly to the skin and the selected area is treated via a series of intense bursts of light.

*Hairs begin to fall out of the follicles approximately 7-10 days after treatment. Subsequent regrowth of hair is finer and softer.
