‘I popped into Imarni to ask about a waxing appointment for unwanted hair on my chin. I was recommended to have electrolysis and had a consultation with Marny. I have suffered from unwanted facial hair and tried everything-bleaching, waxing and tweezing-nothing worked! My confidence was shattered due to the unsightly facial hair and i did not feel like a woman. I have been undergoing treatment for a year-adherence to treatment is essential, but electrolysis does work and i am no longer trying to hide my face when talking to people. I feel great, my confidence has grown and i feel like a woman. I 100% recommend electrolysis to anyone suffering from unwanted facial hair’.
Electrolysis (electrical epilation) is still the only method of hair removal that is progressive and permanent. Correctly carried out, this treatment is almost painless and will not leave any permanent marks on the skin. Electrolysis works by passing a tiny amount of electrical energy into the hair follicle through a very fine probe. This produces heat which destroys the cells that produce the hair at the base of the follicle.
We offer both diathermy and blend electrolysis epilation. The most suitable method for you will be decided in discussion at your first consultation which is offered free of charge and without any obligation to have treatment. Our senior electrologist, Marny, won Electrologist of the Year at the British Beauty Awards in 2002, has over 30 years experience treating clients and many years teaching and assessing electrolysis and beauty therapy. She is also an a member of the British Institute and Association of Electrolysis.
Electrolysis is suitable for treating all skin colours, all hair types and all body areas.
All new clients coming to the salon for a consultation are required to pay a (non refundable) £25 booking fee. This fee is redeemable against any treatments taken or products purchased.
Electrolysis can also be used to treat thread vein, skin tags, warts, milia and minor skin blemishes.
